Consumption of omega-3 impacts the composition of arachidonic acid/docosahexaenoic acid AA/DHA brain cell membranes and on the regulation of neurotransmitter synthesis. The mechanism is not yet fully understood but several studies show that the consumption of omega-3 directly improves the quality of sleep.
